SGAA received the 2008 Sports Partner of the Year Award from the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau today at a Gwinnett Civic Center luncheon.
The Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau features something to do in Gwinnett for everyone. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy professional sports, including the new AAA Gwinnett Braves (coming April 09); Georgia Force Arena Football and hockey with the Gwinnett Gladiators. There are great concerts and events at the Arena at Gwinnett Center, and families will love the activities in our downtown districts – free movies under the stars, concerts and festivals. Visitors won’t want to miss taking a tour of the new Hindu Temple (the 2nd largest in the U.S!) Another exciting new attraction is Stone Mountain Park's Snow Mountain (opening New Year's Eve) - featuring 11 tubing runs, a 400 ft. tubing mountain and three football fields of real snow!!
Shoppers can take their pick – from the largest shopping mall in the Southeast (Mall of Georgia) to the upscale shops of the Forum Shops and the Avenue at Webb Gin to the antiques and galleries in our downtowns to the outlets of Discover Mills. Visit http://www.gcvb.org/ for more information.
